What Is the Kinetic Opener?
The Kinetic Opener is a foundational awareness-building exercise. It uses a physical process (touching your finger) to help you direct your awareness consciously — not just passively.
You’ll learn how to:
Focus attention on specific parts of the body
Feel internal sensations (like bone, skin, and muscle)
Move awareness without physical movement
Strengthen the link between awareness, energy, and blood flow
This exercise doesn’t just relax you. It wakes you up. It activates the part of your mind that normally runs in the background — and begins building your ability to direct and control your inner experience.
Why It Works
You might wonder why this technique matters so much.
Here’s why:
“Where awareness goes, energy follows. And where energy goes, blood follows.”
This creates a powerful chain reaction:
Move awareness → energy flows → blood flows → greater sensitivity → deeper awareness
By repeating this process, you build strength in the “muscles” of consciousness. Eventually, you won’t just feel parts of your body — you’ll feel the entire energy field.

Level 1 Enlightenment: The First Awakening
Most people are living at what Joel calls Level 0 Enlightenment:
No dream recall
No inner body sensation

The Kinetic Opener begins the transition to Level 1. At this level, you start to:
